HELLO HANK!---Don't have a great deal, but am happy to share what I do have (although I wouldn't mortgage the farm on it--if I had one).
Dr. John James Jameson m. Elizabeth (?) in 1740. They had John (1742)and Elizabeth.. Then the Dr. J.J. married Martha (?) and had James (1754/55-1815) who married Christiana Linnington (d. 1821 ). Their children were.
Oops! Goofed and sent half a message-----Anyway: James and Christiana had John ( 6 Jul 1784-20 Nov 1855) married Winifred Ratcliff 26 Dec 1826 and had Dr. Thomas Jameson and Wm Ratcliff Jameson, and died in DeFuniak Springs FL.
Other children of James and Christiana were Elizabeth (1787-(?),James (28 Oct 1790-1 Feb 1869---my g-g-grandfather who married Bathsheba Jane Tidwell),Lancaster (1792-1867), Sally (1795-?), Duke Kimbrough (1798-1842), Nathaniel Alson (7 Jan 1800-Jul 1873) David Andrews (1801-1814). Katherine (b. 1803),Annie (b.1806)and Lydia(b. 20 Feb 1808. Forgot George! He was born 9 Aug 1788, died 24 May 1846. That should be an even dozen!
Something seems amiss to me---does ANYONE have babies for 23 years???? However, my mothr always said that her g-grandfather was one of 12 kids.
The rest that I have refers to my line--James and Bathsheba had only 5 children that I know of. Elizabeth (b 1845),James K. (1846), Nancy Eliza (1848 GA-d. 1929/30 Jax FL) Georgia Ann and Frances (b. 1850).
Nancy Eliza was my g-grandmother and she married a (?) Criswell, whom I cannot find.
A friend and I went plodding through 16 cemeteries in Col Co and Alachua Co last week for four days and we found James and Bathsheba's tombstones and a few more relatives----but only one g-g-grandfather's and he was on the Cook (my mother's paternal)side.
Hope I haven't confused you. I have found whom some of the children of James and Christiana married, but, except for John and James did not write them down.
I'm new at this and make a lot of omissions in haste to nail my direct line.
Happy holidays! Jacquie
